As soon as you set foot in Priesty Fields Care Home you’ll enter the High Street – the community hub that brings the outside in and allows our residents to enjoy the best of Congleton right on their doorstep.
In order to help our residents continue to maintain their lifestyles and meaningful relationships in the community, we have the following authentic high street shops and venues within Priesty Fields Care Home:
Blue Leaf Cafe
To the right of the tree in the atrium courtyard you’ll find the Blue Leaf Cafe – which gets its name from the distinctive floor tiles.
Showcasing locally roasted coffee, fresh juices using locally grown vegetables and home-made pastries baked that day, this farmers market cafe acts as the central hub of the care home bringing visitors, professionals and residents together.
The Dining Room
As you walk down the high street following the limestone floor and real brick walls you’ll come to The Dining Room.
This dining room is perfect for our residents who want to enjoy a private meal with family and friends or to celebrate in style. The room and the private patio area are available for hire and you’re able to craft the food and drinks menu to taste.
For bookings please contact the Home Manager.
Ye Olde Moreton Pub
After our naming competition that allowed the local community to suggest and then vote on our pub name, we’re glad to announce the opening of ‘Ye Olde Moreton’ – named after local landmark Little Moreton Hall.
Serving beer produced within walking distance of the care home by the Cheshire Brewhouse, this is a place to sit back and enjoy the company of friends and family with a variety of beverage choices. And in nice weather, why not take advantage of the pub garden too?
Whilst we have made sure that bathing is a special and relaxing experience for all our residents, Spa 21 is the destination that takes this one step further.
Featuring a state-of-the-art jacuzzi style bath, with light therapy, aroma therapy and bluetooth audio, residents can enjoy peace and relaxation under a light installation built to mimic a starry night.
But the Spa 21 is not just for bathing as there are a range of massages and other therapies available too.
Biddulph Grange Boutique
Named after the opulent Biddulph Grange Gardens not too far from Priesty Fields Care Home, our boutique is the destination for some pampering and R&R.
Whether its a hair cut, a new hair style, a manicure or a pedicure, our residents will leave feeling and looking their best.
Named after the nearby Greenway Country Park, our gymnasium is a multi-purpose room suitable for individual, group or physiotherapy exercises and designed so that our residents can maintain their health and independence for as long as possible.
Our staff are trained by Oomph! Wellness to deliver a bespoke exercise programme that is made specifically to benefit residents of a care home.
Dot & Ethel’s Laundrette
Whilst our team are more than happy to help those who require assistance with their laundry and ironing, we believe in supporting people continue to live their lives to the fullest.
So for those residents who want to make sure those Christmas jumpers or that special frock is washed just right, we have Dot & Ethel’s Laundrette where they can wash items themselves or together with friends and family. Better still, we’ll provide the coins!
The Corner Shop
The Corner Shop is well literally just that – a corner shop. It’s situated in the corner of the home and provides residents the opportunity to buy all sorts of items such as newspapers, toiletries, fruit, sweets, milk, ice cream and more.
Where possible all the produce is from local suppliers around the Congleton area to ensure freshness and the highest quality.
Priesty Fields Picturehouse
For those rainy days and nights when there’s nothing better than watching a film, we have the Priesty Fields Picturehouse.
Whilst all our bedrooms have televisions, as does the lounges on each floor, our cinema allows those cinephiles amongst our residents to enjoy an immersive experience, complete with our very own popcorn machine.
