Visit Congleton Museum

Congleton museum was formed by a group of local history enthusiasts who wanted to pull together an exhibition of the town’s rich history.

The many wonderful artefacts on display include an Anglo Saxon log boat, a 1500 BC burial urn, and a selection of coins from the 17th century, to name just a few.

Situated behind the town hall, the museum is free to visit, although donations are welcome to help with upkeep.

Discover Little Moreton Hall

You may recognise the name ‘Moreton’ if you’ve stopped by our in-house pub with your loved one. Ye Olde Moreton Inn was aptly named in our competition by a local Congleton resident after Little Moreton Hall.

The National Trust house was originally built over 500 years ago. It’s been encapsulated in its Tudor time period by its timber frames and wonky walls. The quirky yet beautiful building is surrounded by a moat and set in 1360 acres of stunning grounds.

With events, activities, walks and a tea room, Little Moreton Hall promises an educational and fun day out.
